Anonymous / renamed work: 70 years after the author's death (until then, if it turns out that 70 years have passed since his death)
Works in the name of the organization: 70 years after publication (70 years after creation if not published within 70 years after creation)
Cinematographic work: 70 years after publication (70 years after creation if not published within 70 years after creation)
The term of protection for works with real names used to be 50 years after the author's death, but on December 30, 2018, the "Comprehensive and Advanced Agreement on the Pacific Rim Partnership" came into effect in Japan, and in principle. The protection period has changed from 50 years to 70 years.
Beethoven and Mozart have been dead for more than 70 years, so the songs composed by Beethoven and Mozart have expired.
However, neighboring rights of performers who played Beethoven and Mozart songs arise.
